Transfer of the relics of the martyrs Cyrus and John
28 June commemorates the martyrdoms of the two saints Cyrus and John, who were martyred for the name of Christ on 31 January, during the reign of Diocletian, in the city of Conopus, twelve leagues from the great city of Alexandria.
The memory of St. Paul
Paul, a native of Corinth, born of Christian parents, and brought up in godliness, and having loved God from his youth, came to one of the monasteries, and was ordained a monk; and he laboured much in the works of the apostles, and was a skilful soldier.
