Feast of the Most Holy Virgin Mary in honor of her appearance to the Kazan Icon
In 1579, during the reign of John Vasilievich the Terrible, who, with God's help, conquered the city of Kazan, the capital of the Tatar kingdom, in this city the infant Matrona appeared in a dream. She said that in the place where their house is located, Her icon is hidden in the earth, and ordered to announce about the seven spiritual and secular authorities in the city.

Tropar, voice 4: Fortifying, Mother of the Most High, pray for all, for Thy Son Christ our God, and for all, to be saved, in Thy mighty covering of refugees. Intercede for us all, O Lord Queen and Lord, even in the afflictions and sorrows and in the diseases, burdened with sins of many, who come and pray to Thee with a humble soul and a broken heart, in Thy holy way with tears, and with an irrevocable hope of those who have the remission of all evil, give to all good, and save, O Virgin Goddess, all of Goddess: Thou art the divine covering of Thy servants.
