The suffering of the holy martyr Emilian and others with him.
He was born in the Asian region of Armenia to parents who were Christians and were wealthy and noble. They gave him to a virtuous man, a priest named Ilarion, to study the book.
The memory of the martyrs Flora and Lavra
The holy martyrs Florus and Laurus were brothers, not only in flesh but also in spirit, for both of them were of one heart in the faith and did good works to please the Lord.

To the most perfect and wise of the two, the most glorious of the faithful, the most blessed Flora, and the most honorable Lavra, and the most zealous of the uncreated Trinity, proclaimed plainly to all, suffered to the point of blood, and crowned with the most glorious crowns: pray to Christ God to save our souls.

Kondac, vox 8: As the piety of the martyrs, and the sufferers of Christ are godly, the universe gloriously honors Flora and Lavra today: so that we improve grace and mercy with their prayers, and get rid of troubles and calamities, and anger and sorrow on the day of judgment.

These holy martyrs, who were denounced by the Gentiles as venerating Christ and abhorring idols, were seized and boldly confessed their faith before the bishop of Rome, who first put them in prison and then let them go, but they refused to sacrifice to idols.
