The portrayal of the faithful prince John of Ugli, in the monks of Ignatius, the Woloda miracle worker

Saint John was the son of a faithful and Christ-loving prince, Andrei Vasilievich Uglichsky [Uglich, now a county town of the Yaroslavl province, located on the Volga River] and a faithful princess, Elena.

After the death of the holy prince, the fragrance of his body came out, which filled the whole city. Then the city prepared his body for burial, took it for burial to the monastery of the holy father Dimitry Priluchka, to the church of the Most Merciful Saviour and buried it under the altar near Dimitry the Wonderworker, where the monks and to this day give healing to those who come to them with faith.
