The memory of our reverend father Thomas Maleen

This mountain served as the dwelling place of the prophets Elijah and Elisha (3 Kings, 18 cf.; 4 Kings 2:25; 4:25).] for Elijah. Here he began to live in solitude, being in communion only with God and conforming to divine revelations and visions.

And as a city on a mountain cannot be hidden from human sight, nor a star shining in the firmament of heaven, so St. Thomas could not be hidden from men on the deserted Mount Minor, where he shone with his holiness like a shining star and illuminated the world.

And when the people heard of him, he became an enlightenment to the blind, and he made the lame to walk, and a fountain of water was opened in the wilderness.

But not only during his earthly life did Thomas perform many miracles, but also by presenting him to God miracles were performed in his honest relics. Believing people received unusually quick healing from all kinds of ailments and even from incurable diseases, as well as from demons <unk> and by the prayers of the saint and by the grace of Christ, our God.
